I was out taking photos in my flower garden, and this happened!
Both are full frame shots. I'm glad I had the right lens, and the right settings goin' on, or I would have totally missed this once in a lifetime kind of shot!

The sun and some sky came out shortly after one of the rain squalls which have been afflicting Toronto lately.

Nikon d300, Sigma 12-24 at 18mm f 4.4 hand held, window light. somehow the shutter speed didn't seem to record in the EXIF. probably 1/125.
I did this in March, it showed up in a tiny box in the letters section of Kerrang! this week -- which is exciting. Kerrang was one of the magazines I used to read all the time -- years back. I haven't seen an issue lately. When I was reading it it was all Heavy Metal All The Time. It was one of the things that really made me want to be a music photographer. I idolized Ross Halfin. And I still do, actually.
